"Source Code" Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and some other people

So I really like this Movie (JAKE), and I really loved the story (JAKE), and I thought that all the acting was great (JAKE).  Jake Gyllenhaal makes a stunning performance (is hot) in this film.  His acting chops (body) will impress you.  His commitment to the role (gorgeous face) will entrance you!  You should really see (JAKE) this movie! I couldn't take my eyes off the (JAKE) visuals of this film.  So you should really see (how hot Jake is) this movie.

To See or not to See? JAKE GYLLENHAAL!!!!!!!!!!!

What Sucks:  The other actors really clutter the screen
Whats good: ummmm I think you get the idea

"Water For Elephants" Starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson

A Circus, A Love Triangle, A Period Piece......oh I thought this was going to be such an EPIC Grand Film.  But unfortunately is wasn't.  I mean don't get me wrong it's a great date movie but it could have been GREAT!  With such big name stars and such a beautiful story I was expecting to be moved beyond words.  Instead I just saw a cute date movie.  Robert Pattinson lacked passion and fire, Christoph Waltz was holding back, and Reese Witherspoon did her best with what she was handed.  I thought the director misguided these actors.  Despite all that you won't be too disappointed.  Give it a shot.
To See or not to See?  Ya, make it a date night

What sucks: The Director held back big time, he really should have went for it!
READ THE BOOK!!!
Whats good: It's a cute date movie

Monday

"Hanna" Starring Eric Bana and Saoirse Ronan

Hanna is a very visually stimulating, fast paced, exciting, coming of age story played against some great music by the Chemical Brothers.  You will not be bored!  The story is one we have heard before but it’s told well and it keeps moving.  Eric Bana makes a great hero, Saoirse Ronan is a badass, and Jessica Barden is a hilarious breath of fresh air (watch out for this star to rise).  The cast is great except I’m sad to say I was a little under whelmed with Cate Blanchett (who I totally love).

To See or not to See?  Yes, you'll like it
★★★☆☆

What's good:  The Visuals, the Music, the Great Cast
WATCH OUT FOR THIS GIRL HILARIOUS!!!!
What Sucks: Nothing really

"Arthur" Starring Russell Brand

I’m really bummed that this movie fell flat.  I am a huge fan of the original Arthur starring Dudley Moore, but I love Russell Brand so I was super excited about this “re-telling”.  The changes made to the script worked well.  So what went wrong?  The misfit cast!  Russell Brand is funny but didn’t have the acting chops to pull off the emotional scenes.  Helen Mirren did well but that’s just not enough.  Greta and Jennifer are beautiful but their characters were unmoving.  And, it’s like Luis Guzman was in a totally different movie! You’ll laugh at parts but it can’t hold a candle to the original.

To See or not to See?  Netflix it

What's good: The creative script changes, it's a little bit funny
WANT TO SEE ARTHUR?  SEE THE ORIGINAL!!!
What Sucks: Hollywood made another crappy remake!

Friday

"HOP" Starring James Marsden and Russell Brand

This review is not for children.  This is an adult perspective of this cute little movie.  First of all, the bunnies are ridiculously cute!!  You will fall in love.  I fell in love with James Marsden (HOT)!  For a silly kid movie he did a pretty good acting job.  He was the only good human though, everyone else falls flat.  Russell Brand brings comedy and life to the animated star but not enough to save this movie.

To See or Not to See?  Only if it's free on TBS on a Sunday while doing laundry

What's good:  The cute bunny, Russell Brand, and James Marsden
What sucks:  The empty script, silly story, and flat ensemble cast

Monday

"The Lincoln Lawyer" starring Matthew McConaughey, Marissa Tomei, and Ryan Phillippe

Filmed in the heart of Los Angeles (Echo Park, Frogtown, & Downtown) this fast paced drama moves quick.  The editing and camera focus even quicker! I was getting a little dizzy!  The directorial approach has a "TV Cop Drama" feel to it.  However, it's an enjoyable ride.  If you like Matthew McConaughey you'll like this movie.  The ensemble cast was great, Marissa Tomei, William H. Macy, and John Leguizamo.  The only weak link was a miscast Ryan Phillippe.  There are a couple unrealistic corny elements of the plot, and it sometimes lacked motive.  Still, this movie has a hip, urban, cool, LA vibe accompanied by some cool music.

To See or not to See?  Ya, but go for the Matinee

What's good:  The ensemble cast and the hip/cool LA vibe
What sucks: Parts of the plot, some poor casting choices

Saturday

"Limitless" starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Abbie Cornish

An interesting story about how much we could accomplish if we could only access all of our brain.  "Limitless" is an exciting up and down drama filled with drugs, sex, money, and violence.  The hunky Bradley Cooper carries this film proving not only that he is a good actor but he can pull off any haircut!  I enjoyed this movie, it was fun.  The only thing that bothered me was the unnecessary narration.  Don't expect to be moved to a higher level of consciousness, just go and have some fun.

To See or not to See? Sure, but go to the Matinee

What's good:  Bradley Cooper
What sucks: The narration...

GOSSIP:  Yes ladies!  Good News! Bradley is single.  It has been reported that Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have called it quits.  Whoo HOOOO

Friday

"PIRANHA" aka "Piranha 3D" with Elisabeth Shue, Richard Dreyfuss, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd & Jerry O'Connell

If you're a 16yr old boy you will LOVE this movie!!  With plenty of T&A, gore, blood, and scary scares it is exactly what you would expect.  Filmed on Lake Havasu the comedy and gore ensues!  If you have to watch it, play a drinking game.  Take a shot every time someones bikini comes off.  You'll be trashed in no time and will probably walk away thinking, "what a great flick".  It's an all star cast....surprisingly.  For the guys there is a wonderful underwater "ballet" sequence with the "Wild Wild Girls".  For the girls........um I'll let Jerry O'Connell share that ahem, surprise with you.  Oh and it ends with a twist!

What Sucks:  This movie
GOSSIP:  This is the 3rd time Hollywood has given us a Piranha movie...ya seriously!

Thursday

"BIUTIFUL", starring Javier Bardem

This moody Spanish language film has Javier Bardem dealing with life, death, and his own integrity.  It's a long, dark, and depressing story filled with strife, back stabbers, and hustlers.  No, it's not a comedy!  Despite the incredible performances by Javier Bardem and Maricel Alvarez this over plotted script loses much of the message I think it's trying to send.  In my opinion if they stuck to the supernatural part of the plot it would have made for a very different film, but that's just me.

To See or Not to See?  Sure, give it a shot
★★★☆☆
3 out of 5 stars

What's good:  The acting performances from the whole cast
What sucks:  How you feel afterwards

GOSSIP:  Ten years ago, a stranger in a disco asked Javier Bardem his name, when Javier replied, the man punched him in the face for no apparent reason, breaking his nose.  Um, he still looks good to me!

Tuesday

"Take Me Home Tonight" Starring, Topher Grace and Anna Faris

A kinda funny ode to the 80's.  Topher's boyish insecurity will LIKE Totally Drive you Crazy OMG!  Anna Faris is adorable, and Teresa Palmer is gorgeous and not a bad actor.  You'll laugh at Dan Fogler who plays Barry (STOLE A CAR!).  Don't expect your leg warmers to get all hot and bothered.  Best Night Ever?  Not really.

To See or Not to See?  Like OMG it's like totally a Rental
★★☆☆☆

What's good: The music, gorgeous newcomer Teresa Palmer, and funny man Dan Fogler.
What sucks: Pretty much everything else.

GOSSIP:  Anna Faris married actor Chris Pratt who plays her boyfriend in this movie.....awwwwww

Friday

"The Adjusment Bureau" Starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt

Ok, first let me say, that this movie is terribly corny and unbelievable.  But with that being said it's still enjoyable.  Matt Damon and Emily Blunt have amazing chemistry.  I want to be loved like that!  WHOA!  So sweet....and yes corny.

To See or not to See?  It's a cute RENTAL

"Burlesque" Starring Cher, Stanley Tucci and Christina Aguilera

Ok Cher is 64!? Holy Crap!! She looks amazing.  Stanley Tucci, can officially DO NO WRONG!  Christina Aguilera gets real close to ruining this movie, but thank god she mostly sings.

To See or not to See? It's a Barely See!

Whats good: The music, costumes, dancing, and Stanley Tucci
What sucks: Christina Aguilera's acting

GOSSIP:  Christina Aguilera was arrested March 1, 2011 for public intoxication...oops
